Randy Pausch is a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Not long ago he was asked to give a "last lecture," as if he's dying and he would convey his most important wisdom to his students. He gave it on September 18, 07. The video has been uploaded to youtube and google video. It's reported that it's been downloaded by over a million viewers.Spare 75 min. to watch Randy Pausch's Lesson of Life full version. (Fastforward to 8.15 time to skip the introduction of Randy Pausch by various people.) I didn't know about this person, but I watched the whole thing and find it inspiring.
The fact is that Randy's dying, as he's been diagnosed of terminal pancreatic cancer. But his lecture is upbeat, full of zest, not morose, not gloomy. He did share that he had a deathbed conversion: he bought a Macintosh. The lecture hall erupted with laughters!
