As I was teaching an Ancient Greek tune written in the 1st century CE, I needed to write some Greek musical notations on the board to show my students how they looked. Since the board was already filled with my writing, I began to clean the board. [Don't ask me why I'm not using powerpoint with a data projector. :)] As I almost finished erasing the board, I couldn't remember why I was erasing it. It took me 5-10 seconds to remember the Greek notation business.
After class, one of the students who has been with me from last year said to me, "When you forgot why you erased the board, i thought to myself that it was such a typical 'Grace moment'!" We both laughed!
p.s. Maybe during the quarter break, I should have my brain CT-scanned.
