Korean hostages in Afghanistan: how to pray?

This verse which uplifted me in the past came to mind when we were praying for the Korean hostages at my church's Wednesday prayer mtg.

As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:9

I pray that God will demonstrate how His ways are higher than our ways, His thoughts than our thoughts through resolving the kidnapping of the Korean hostages. May His name be exalted and glorified, as the whole world is watching.

God of all, Lord of these Korean people,

Please make these Taliban kidnappers to observe strictly their Pashtunwali code -- "hospitality to all, especially guests and strangers". Let those who're serious to the code win over those who're tempted to kill.

Let the Taliban not only feel the pressure, but be moved by the global outcry on freeing their prisoners.

Let love rules, not hate, for You are love, and by this we will all know you are God Almighty our Lord, and You will be glorified. Amen!
