I heard that it's good to play songs/music that the patient is familiar with. Even though dad most probably doesn't know any SOP songs, I work with what I've got and played 注目看耶穌 today for him. I translated the chorus for him in Cantonese in between musical phrases.

By the end of the song, dad's heart rate increased by almost 20 pulse/min. Was it too loud? Did something go wrong? Or did he get excited? Time to go and let him rest.
