Starbucks in the Forbidden City

The BBC News site reported that an online campaign has been led by a China state TV personality to have Starbucks removed from the Forbidden City, Beijing, as the presence of Starbucks "trampled over Chinese culture."

I would love to sit down and taste a Starbucks or Peets coffee there. Being a Chinese, is that unethical?

Starbucks has been there since 2000. Who approved it then?
