the time may have come

It seems that mom's beginning to not remember me.

Don't be sad, BigHead! May the Lord comfort you.

Well, from now on God is taking her somewhere that does not need your company. She does not need to remember. If she could give you an advice, I believe what she would like you to do is not get sad but embrace her as she is now. What matters to her now, at this moment, is that she feels content and happy, and may be that is what you need to maintain for her instead of trying to get her memory of you back.

Bless you and your mom.

So, how's your mom doing now?

A GI specialist did the upper endoscopy today and found ulcers, erosion, hernia here and there. Mom is also treated for another infection by an ENT doc. I will wait to talk with the general practitioner tomorrow morning to see if the ulcers are the cause of mom's anemia and when mom can be discharged. Mom is staying in a very good hospital, though she is incapable of understanding what is going on or responding to instruction. Argh... getting old is no fun.

Thanks for asking.
