I don't often prepare full lecture during the last week of class. In the last meeting of one of my classes, I gave a listening quiz, delivered a summarized lecture with an attempt to point to the relevance of the study of music history to our present culture, talked about the final exam, allowed time for class evaluation.
One class down, one more to go tomorrow, which will be for the most part presentation from class members.
Although the quarter does not end until another two weeks and I've got work to do (i.e. giving exam, grading exam, reading papers, writing student recommendation letters), a huge load is off my back and my mind's wandered off to ... how should I decorate my home and my mom's home for Christmas?
