Perhaps the idea that "respect must be earned" needs to be revised. Respect men regardless? How would that play out???

I checked with 4 friends over dinner tonight.
Male friend 1: Need respect, rather feel not loved;
Male friend 2: Need love, rather feel not respected.
Female friend 1: Need love, rather feel not respected.
Female friend 2: Need love, rather feel not respected.
As an object, love is exclusive and passive. Respect is inclusive and active.
sounds to me that you're an inclusive and active anonymous... right?
