Boeing, Seattle
Beaver Lake in Stanley Park, Vancouver, B.C. (No beaver found).
Lavendar grows everywhere!
Queuing at Horseshoe Bay to take the ferry to Nanaimo, B.C.
Cider came with our bed & breakfast package in Nanaimo.
Fastforward - last stop right before flying back from Seattle.
The 8-day trip is one of the best ones I've had in years. Like many things in life, one makes the best out of what one's given. Things don't have to be perfect and yet can still be the best. I laughed hard in many occasions. Great companions (human and non-human), great mix of programs and food, and last but not least, I don't know how much the trip cost yet!

Stanley Park and Seattle, this reminds me of my last trip to LA > Toronto > Vancouver many years ago (the one that we didn't meet when Lulu and I was in LA!)
Vancouver, a great place to live. I was especially impressed by the tall timbers in Stanley Park.
Seattle, Lulu and I visited Ms Beetley at her senior village where she retired since she went back to the States. It took me some time to find her village because most maps didn't show such a small place -- until we found it on a highway map which we bought on a highway stop-by. Then she passed away in less than a year after we're back to HK. I'm always thankful for having such a faithful servant and wonderful pianist in YCC. I missed the days when we sit on the front row on every Sun service, and I did for her real-time Chi>Eng translation on paper for every sermon.
wonder what language people speak in heaven? Ms Beetley speaks American English with my dad, and my dad replies in Cantonese?
I think it'll be vice versa, since during the Pentecost the believers were filled with the Holy Spirit and they spoke in tongues which they never learned. (Acts 2)
Somehow I think filled with the Holy Spirit will make one totally not self-centred, even the language -- we'll speak in others' language and terms for the sake of them.
hm ... interesting ...
Or people may get to speak in their mother tongues and have the gift of interpreting tongue speech.
no basis. just a wild thought.
