zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
had a busy weekend -- Fri, Sat., Sun, and yesterday were either spent on reading/preparing for lectures or teaching piano or church. i feel so tired ... need to have enough material for lecture ... need to wheel the powerpoint equipment from one building to my classroom in another building ... need to know how to set it up ... need to check to see if the library has all the material processed ... in 3 hours ... need to check out the possibiliy of switching to a more technology-equipped classroom... need to zzzzzzzzzzz.

2 lessons that I learned in my short and limited teaching experience:
1. the first semester is usually hell since you start everything from scratch. The reward will show up in the 2nd.
2. in a university, usually you need to prepare every little detail by yourself. Rarely you would come across people who will eagerly offer for help.
So right now, enjoy the sweat and zzzz, Grace. And remember, prayers are with you.

This morning I so felt the need to 叫救命, hoping someone who read it will pray for me! And someone did!
It turned out that the powerpoint thing didn't work today because of some minor technical difficulties. Fortunately, I hand-wrote a page of notes to explain Greek musical theory and just happened (we both know it didn't just happen) to have made enough copies for the class. Then we listened to some tunes, talked about them .... Think I ended the class a little earlier, which of course made everyone happy.
It's very good to hear you say: today's lecture went OK & everyone was happy!! Wow! So good!! Thank God!
And do you have enough change for paying the parking fee yesterday?
